Our group thought Gloucester prison would be a perfect place to film part of our OTS as it will be used to reflet the victims emptiness, eternal lonliness and undying pain.
Due to the prison being closed down, it already gives the impression ofban abandoned and scary location, this is effective as it can imply something scary can happen at any moment.

Our group decided to choose this location to film because it had easy access as it was in situated within the school grounds, it also captures the idea of isolation, additionally, abandoned locations are associated with horror films as it refers to loss of hope. Consequently, this location instantly alerts the audience that something bad and intense is going to happen. Furthermore, keeping the audience on edge helps build tension and suspense which is a vital experience when watching a horror.
Other potential locations
We considered filming our OTS in a forest as it would have created mystery and set the scene in general. The forest is a typical isolated place to film a horror, it would also be a suitable place to exicute a torture scene as there would be no lights or near by houses so it would be realistic- as it's unlikely that any other people will be around.
However this may have been difficult as filming times would have had to be very flexibal. Additionally, it would have been time consuming for our group as we would have had to walk to this location.

Another location we debated to film was in a graveyard. This location would have brang the sense of death, murder and mystery to the audience. From my own knowledge I know that various horror movies begin with this particulat location and intend to finish with it as well. This is due to there typically being a death scene at the begining and end of the movie. Despite this being a good location for a horror we decided it wouldn't be appropiate for our selected sub genre of supernatural-horror and it would fit better with a zombie theme as it relates to death more than torture.
